Morgan had a pretty good childhood, but his parents divorced when he was 10 years old. It affected him more then he realized at the time especially since his father was no longer a constant presence in the home. He began to hang out with the older crowd and push the limit with his mother, taking advantage of the fact that she just couldn’t discipline him like his father. By the age of 13 Morgan had started down a path of using and selling drugs. He continued this path for about 10 years and was constantly in and out of juvenile, jail and treatment programs. At the age of 23 this path had led him to facing prison time and he says “as I was sitting in a jail cell one night I finally just gave it up and cried out to God!” He was fortunate enough to get one last opportunity to go to rehab instead of prison and began to truly pursue truth!
