Kin-Folk means family or cousin in southern culture. We happen to be that for real. It started with G. Macbeth, DJ Nard X and Twuan Twuan in which we are first cousins. Then we added family friends DJ LEO The Lion, DJ Incognito, DJ A. Chill, Duhran “Oh Mr. Wilson” on trumpet, and Uncle Cam on percussion. This made us a band too! God has been taking us through a lot and we are better for it. We originally complained until we saw God working on us as He worked through us. We started rapping at our home baptist church. In the 2000’s it was very controversial, but luckily, we had the support of our Pastor Dr. Rev. York Hayes. He wasn’t a rap fan but he was a fan of any talent or skill you used for the cause of Christ. We took our walk seriously so he had no doubt that we were serious.
